As Taiwan enters the sixth wave of the Omicron outbreak, Minister of Health and Welfare, Shih-Chung Que, has proposed four major strategies to combat the pandemic, including monitoring the situation, strengthening the stockpile and distribution of medical supplies, developing clinical guidelines, and enhancing health education and cooperation among medical institutions. The aim is to provide proper care for patients in the community and alleviate emergency room congestion. Despite the challenges such as medication shortages and crowded emergency rooms in major hospitals, the government is working to stabilize the situation and ensure the public's health and well-being.
