Taiwan's Top Tax Debtors Revealed Again: $3.197 Billion Written Off for 16 Cases

The Ministry of Finance annually releases a list of top tax debtors in July, with stock market figure Huang Renzhong still topping the individual debtors list for owing $1.935 billion in comprehensive income tax, maintaining his position for 15 years. This year, 16 cases of unrecoverable tax debts totaling $3.197 billion were written off. The list includes familiar faces like Huang's sister, with a total of nearly $3.2 billion in unpaid taxes for both of them. The total number of cases announced this year has been reduced by 16 cases compared to last year, with a decrease of $3.197 billion in total amount owed.
