Taiwan's Weather Outlook for the Week: Officially Entering Summer According to Experts

Reported 8 months ago

Starting with southwest winds and local thunderstorms ahead of a frontal boundary on Wednesday, the summer season is set to bring hot temperatures in Taiwan. Meteorologist Wu Sheng-yu noted the trend is shifting towards the hot season, with rain concentrated in the central and southern regions and occasional afternoon thunderstorms elsewhere. As the Pacific high pressure system strengthens and the frontal boundary moves further north, Taiwan is on track to officially enter summer with temperatures exceeding 36 degrees in some areas. The weather will progressively stabilize with decreasing rainfall and rising temperatures reaching 34-36 degrees, a trend expected to continue beyond June. While tropical disturbances are unlikely for now, vigilance is advised for potential developments later in the month.
