The end of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday coincides with the influence of a weather front, leading to scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday. The Central Weather Bureau forecasts that the west-southwest wind will bring mainly afternoon thunderstorms today, resulting in short periods of heavy rainfall in mountainous and near-mountainous areas. Tomorrow, the weather front will be situated over the northern waters of Taiwan, bringing increased moisture and the likelihood of scattered brief showers or thunderstorms in the central and southern regions, as well as localized heavy rain. The Bureau warns of particularly intense thunderstorms in Yilan, Hualien, and greater Taipei areas, urging caution in mountainous areas due to recent soil softening. High temperatures are expected to range from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius tomorrow, with high humidity but a possibility of afternoon thunderstorms. From Monday to Saturday next week, as the weather front shifts slightly northward, the central and southern regions will continue to experience brief showers or thunderstorms, with a chance of heavy rain in mountainous areas.
