Recent rainfall across Taiwan has led to an increase in water levels in reservoirs, with 71.4% of reservoirs now holding water storage rates above 60%. Meteorologist Lin De-en highlighted that the southwest winds this week will particularly benefit the central and southern regions in terms of water replenishment. Reservoirs like Xinshan, Daci, and Sun Moon Lake have seen storage rates reach up to 90%, signaling positive contributions to agriculture and irrigation operations in the second half of the year. Despite the improvements, the public is reminded to conserve water resources and use water wisely.
