Taiwanese Baseball Player Li Hao-yu Hit by Fastball to the Head during Game in the US

Reported about 1 year ago

Taiwanese baseball player Li Hao-yu, known as the 'Strongman,' currently playing for the Detroit Tigers in the MLB minor league 2A, was hit by a 148-kilometer fastball to the head during a game against the Pirates 2A on June 14. Despite Li's hot form with 10 home runs this season, achieving his personal best and becoming the sixth Taiwanese player to hit double-digit homers at the 2A level, he was forced to leave the game due to the head injury. Li had shown impressive hitting skills in the game with two hits, but in the fourth at-bat, he was hit by the pitch and had to be substituted out. His condition is still under evaluation.
