A fire broke out at a BBQ restaurant on Xiangshang Road in Taichung City at around 4 p.m., leading to the discovery of two 30-year-old male employees in the kitchen lying unconscious and in critical condition. Despite emergency medical treatment, the incident resulted in one fatality and one person in critical condition. Two firefighters also experienced heat exhaustion symptoms due to prolonged exposure to the fire, but were treated with oxygen masks and are reported to be okay. The fire was extinguished at 5:03 p.m., with one victim sent to China Medical University Hospital and another to Linsen Hospital.
