Taiwanese fishery association director Lin Shijie was fatally shot nine times by a close-range gunman this morning (7/8) on Xinyi Road in the Nanzhong District of Tainan City. Lin, father of DPP councilor Lin Yiting, succumbed to his injuries after being ambushed in front of his home. The police are actively investigating the shooter, potential accomplices, and motives behind the attack.
