A couple in Taichung, Taiwan, engaged in a legal battle with their building's management committee after receiving 129 fines totaling 129,000 NT dollars for not adhering to the 'No Pets on the Ground' rule. The court initially ordered them to pay 101,000 NT dollars, but in the second appeal, the fines were overturned as the committee did not have the authority to impose such penalties bypassing official procedures. The couple was instructed to comply with using a cart for their dog, while they still have the option to appeal. The case has been sent back for a further review by the Supreme Court.
