Reported 8 months ago

According to a recent survey conducted by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, approximately 82% of people feel proud and honored to be Taiwanese, with only 11% not feeling this way. This significant increase in national pride among Taiwanese citizens has been attributed to factors like the new President, Lai Ching-te, and the phenomenon of Huang Jen-hsun. This surge in national pride marks a historical record leap and signifies a remarkable shift in Taiwanese identity. The research also indicates a substantial rise in Taiwanese national pride over the years, from 39.73% in 1995 to 81.7% in 2024, showcasing Taiwan's growing sense of national identity compared to other global democracies.
