Reported about 1 year ago
Taiwanese influencer Chen Yi was previously accused of money laundering and fraud last year after receiving a large sum of money in her company's account, sparking suspicion and leading her to question the motives behind it online. Subsequently, she was sued for alleged defamation by the male individual who made the transfer. However, after investigation, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office decided not to prosecute Chen Yi for tarnishing the man's reputation. The case involved a misunderstanding where the man transferred money to Chen Yi's company account thinking he was purchasing second-hand phones for his children, but never received the phones, suspecting fraud. The incident also brought to light Chen Yi's dispute with Feng Yu-ting, another influencer, who had revealed Chen Yi's subpoena to court previously on Instagram.
