Taiwanese Lawmaker Confesses to Taking Red Dragon Fruit Back to Vietnam for Cultivation, Causing Awkward Moment

During a press conference on the export of red-flesh dragon fruit from Taiwan to Japan, Taiwanese lawmaker Mai Yu-chen admitted to cutting several pieces of the fruit and smuggling them back to Vietnam for planting out of curiosity. However, she failed to grow the fruit due to different varieties, leading to surprise and awkwardness among the attendees. The Minister of Agriculture urged against exporting Taiwanese seeds to other countries to protect Taiwan's agricultural advantages. Despite the incident, efforts to export Taiwanese agricultural products to other countries continue, supported by confidence in Taiwan's superior agricultural technology.
