During a cross-party negotiation at the Legislative Yuan, Kuomintang city councilor Liu Tsai-wei reported Democratic Progressive Party caucus convener Ko Chien-ming for smoking outside the meeting room, which is a government indoor space. The incident was captured on camera and broadcasted live, leading to a complaint by Taipei City councilor Lui Tsai-wei to the city's health bureau. Despite Ko Chien-ming's dismissive response, a fine may be imposed if he fails to respond within 7 days. The meeting also witnessed heated exchanges between legislators from different parties regarding various issues.
