Taiwanese Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) City Councilor Huang Shou-da revealed that a man surnamed Huang purchased several bottles of Liqueur imported from the Netherlands at a store in Nan Tun District in early June. Upon reaching the bottom of the bottle, he poured out a bunch of black bugs resembling 'cockroaches,' causing him to feel nauseous and vomit blood strings. After seeking medical attention and being diagnosed with gastritis, the City Treasury Bureau immediately dispatched personnel to inspect the store and collect samples for testing. The batch of Liqueur has since been removed from shelves. Huang expressed concerns about the bugs and questioned if they were 'original imported' exotic bugs. The City Treasury Bureau assured that the products had been taken off the shelves and samples sent for testing in compliance with the Alcohol and Tobacco Administration Law. The incident will continue to be investigated to protect consumer rights.
