Taiwanese Man Trick to Work in Thailand Almost Sold to Myanmar Pig Farm

Reported 7 months ago

A 33-year-old Taiwanese man was lured to work in Thailand and almost sold to a fraudulent group in Myanmar as he sought to repay debts. Duped by someone named 'Wang Ming' on Facebook to help with a liquor business in Thailand, he arrived there on June 10 only to realize he was being taken to Myanmar. He managed to escape, seek refuge in a local temple, report to the authorities, and safely return to Taiwan. Despite warning others on Dcard, the individuals behind this scheme have not been apprehended, and details regarding the incident are still being investigated.
