Ke Hao-ming, a Taiwanese student at a U.S. military academy, along with his mother and grandmother, were involved in a major car accident in the U.S. in late May. Ke's mother, whose condition improved, was flown back to Taiwan on a special flight for continued treatment. Ke's grandmother remains in unstable condition, with Ke staying in the U.S. to care for her and planning to return to Taiwan together when her condition improves. Donations are being collected to help with the substantial medical expenses incurred in the U.S.
