In Taiwan, the Criminal Investigation Bureau in Tainan busted a pigeon racing association for illegal gambling activities during their seventh match of the year. Over 1,300 pigeons participated in the spring race with a jackpot of NT$56 million, but only 15 pigeons completed the race. The association is suspected of manipulating factors like sea conditions and wind to ensure only a few pigeons make it back, allowing certain participants to win more money. The police arrested 7 individuals, including the association's chairman, on suspicion of organizing illegal gambling activities.
