According to the latest revelation from 'Mirror Weekly,' Taiwanese Representative Yu Da-wei has reportedly spent 8 million public funds on luxury carpets, sofas, and even attempted to purchase a Cadillac worth 3.7 million, which was blocked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister Lin Chia-lung stated that he has requested Yu Da-wei to write a written report and there are no plans to recall him during the investigation. Minister Lin emphasized the need to clarify the necessity and reasonableness of these purchases, ensure legal administration, and review the embassy's procurement procedures, while also urging support for all diplomats defending and promoting Taiwan's diplomacy efforts.
