Taiwanese Restaurant in Tainan's Anping District Shot at, Owner's Past Revealed… Solved Major Case with Skill 12 Years Ago

Reported 11 months ago

On June 8, 2024, in Anping District, Tainan, a man named Huang, under the influence, shot at a closed restaurant unknowingly owned by a former criminal investigation squad leader. The restaurant, previously known as 'Peach Blossom Red,' was taken over by the former police squad leader surnamed Hong after retiring about 6 years ago and renamed 'Golden Capital' in tribute to a religious center. Huang, dissatisfied with their handling of an argument, returned to shoot at the restaurant in anger. The owner, Hong, had solved a major taxi murder case in 2012 by skillfully apprehending the suspect after a long investigation, with the help of a popular sketch artist. Despite the recent shooting incident at the restaurant, miraculously, no one was seriously injured.
