Taiwanese private shrine, Yu Zhi Wuxuantan in Tainan, recently posted a poster on social media depicting a marriage between the deity Guan Di and the Heavenly Empress, even changing Mazu's name to 'Heavenly Guan Mother,' sparking criticism from believers. The shrine released a statement apologizing for the confusion caused by their internal religious ceremony and clarified that the event was not a marriage between their deity and Mazu. The shrine also warned of legal repercussions against those who continue to attack their religious beliefs maliciously.
