Taiwanese Tourists Stranded in Turkish Airport After Missed Flight Connection

Reported 9 months ago

Eight Taiwanese tourists who each paid nearly 150,000 NT dollars to join a 13-day trip to Croatia found themselves stranded in a Turkish airport after missing their connecting flight due to delays caused by two male members needing to use the restroom. The tour leader did not stay behind to assist them, resulting in the two individuals having to spend a day at the airport before buying their own tickets back to Taiwan. The travel agency denied intentionally abandoning them and claimed they were unable to contact the two members at the time. The incident has sparked a dispute between the tourists and the agency over responsibility and compensation.
