Tamboran Resources Corporation has announced an agreement to acquire Falcon Oil & Gas for about $172 million, a transaction anticipated to close in Q1 2026. The deal will expand Tamboran's holdings in the Beetaloo Basin, making it one of the largest acreage holders in the region with approximately 2.9 million net prospective acres. Falcon's investors will retain a 26.8% stake in the new entity, while Tamboran shareholders will hold 73.2%. This acquisition aims to enhance Tamboran's operational footprint and advance its phase two development area.
