In order to promote sound industrial administrative management, the Ministry of Economic Affairs initiated a nationwide factory check and operational survey from June 1 to July 10, 2024. Taoyuan City, as an important industrial hub, had 12,257 factories participate in the survey, with city officials dispatching inspectors to ensure data accuracy. The city government will provide guidance if any factory ceases operations, relocates, or changes registration details, urging the businesses to make relevant changes or announcements. With dynamic factory information being crucial for national economic development, the survey not only aims to correct factory registration basics but also requires data on business income and expenses, production and sales volumes, technology transactions, and research and development expenses for industry development and industrial planning. The City Government also reminds businesses to conduct self-inspections, referring to the new laws on factory hazardous material declaration and public liability insurance for industrial accidents.
