The Taoyuan City Government's Indigenous Peoples' Affairs Department held the '113th Taoyuan Indigenous Seasonal Ritual and SaiSia Ancestral Ceremony paSbaki’' on June 23, 2024, with the Chairman of the SaiSia Cultural and Educational Welfare Development Association serving as the main chairperson and the Taoyuan City Government Secretary-General personally participating in the event. Through cultural performances, urban dwellers, tribal members, and citizens gain a deeper understanding and acceptance of SaiSia culture. The ancestral ceremony, known as paSbaki’ in the SaiSia language, is a significant agricultural ritual involving offering glutinous rice cakes made from freshly harvested rice to the ancestors before consumption, showcasing the importance of traditions and cultural heritage in Taoyuan's Indigenous community.
