A man surnamed Qiu in Yilan operated a hot spring resort in Jiaoxi, accumulating substantial debts and tax arrears, resulting in the resort being seized and auctioned off last year to repay debts. Still owing over 700,000 yuan in taxes, he hid the resort's furniture and equipment in an illegal B&B. However, when the B&B was also found to owe taxes and was seized by the Yilan Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency, the hidden equipment was discovered and confiscated together. With debts remaining unpaid, plans to auction off the equipment are expected to cover some of the tax arrears.
