A taxi in Daan District, Taipei lost control for unknown reasons and crashed into a pedestrian walkway, hitting two cyclists on YouBikes and a tree before finally hitting a building pillar. The driver, a 67-year-old man surnamed Fan, was sent to the hospital but passed away due to severe injuries. The two cyclists suffered minor injuries. The incident is under investigation to determine the exact cause, with initial suspicions pointing to a sudden onset of an internal medical condition leading to the accident.
