Tears of Joy from Japanese Tourists as 'Xiang Xiang Princess' Celebrates 7th Birthday in China After Being Born in Tokyo and Previously Thought to Understand Japanese

Reported 7 months ago

Last year, giant panda 'Xiang Xiang' returned from Japan's Ueno Zoo to China and celebrated her 7th birthday at the China Conservation & Research Center for the Giant Panda in Ya'an Bifengxia Base. Japanese tourists visited and expressed their love, with one lady even shedding tears of joy. Born in Tokyo in 2017, Xiang Xiang is the daughter of Chinese pandas 'Bili' and 'Xian Nu.' The Japanese public adores her, and when she responded to Japanese speech in China, some were surprised, despite Chinese netizens remarking she may just pause randomly without true language comprehension.
