Tesla challenges $5.6 billion legal fee sought by lawyers who invalidated Musk's pay

Reported 6 months ago

Tesla is objecting to a $5.6 billion legal fee requested by the legal team who nullified Elon Musk's Tesla compensation, arguing they should receive only $13.6 million due to their lawsuit providing minimal benefit for the company. The shareholder's attorneys, Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann, Friedman Oster & Tejtel, and Andrews & Springer, requested 29 million Tesla shares as payment, but Tesla claims the ruling did not lead to Musk returning any shares since he never utilized the stock options. Shareholders are set to vote on the restored pay package at the upcoming annual meeting.
