The Thai government plans to amend its BEV subsidy regulations following challenges faced by Neta Auto Thailand, a subsidiary of China's Hozon New Energy. Due to underproduction, with only 4,000 of the required 19,000 battery electric vehicles produced, Neta Auto has had its subsidy payments impacted. In light of these difficulties, the Ministry of Finance is proposing rule changes that would require regular production updates from BEV manufacturers, enabling quicker suspension of subsidies if commitments are not met.
