Thailand's feed industry aims to import $2.8 billion in agricultural products from the US annually, seeking to reduce its significant trade surplus and counter potential tariffs on Thai exports. The Thai Feed Mill Association is negotiating with the government to make US feed commodities more competitive and plans to shift significant purchases from Brazil and other sources. With rising feed demand expected this year, the country is exploring ways to bolster its imports, particularly of soybean meal and corn, while addressing tariff barriers and trade negotiations under the new US administration.
