On July 6, 2024, in New Taipei City, a man lacking money targeted a convenience store in Shulin. He asked the store clerk to help him find a product as a distraction, then proceeded to rob the cashier machine, stealing 110,000 NT dollars. He even changed his appearance and took a taxi to escape, but was caught due to a car accident on the way and arrested by the police. The thief, a 25-year-old man with the surname Liang, premeditated the theft by dressing in black initially, then changing into red clothes during his escape.
