A fire broke out in a residential building in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, where two women were rescued by firefighters with no pulse or breathing. The mother managed to escape with a dog, but her two daughters on the third floor were rescued and are currently receiving medical treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
