TikTok has been reinstated in Apple and Google app stores in the U.S. following a delay in a ban enforced by President Trump. The app, which has over 170 million American users and is owned by China's ByteDance, was temporarily removed from the stores to comply with a law mandating its divestment or ban. After Trump assured users that a ban would be postponed, TikTok resumed its services, which had previously seen a brief migration of users to a competing app. The U.S. government has raised concerns over its Chinese ownership posing a national security risk, but TikTok has denied sharing user data with the Chinese government.
