Tornado season in the United States typically runs from April to June, and Michigan was severely affected by a tornado that struck in early May. Tzu Chi, in collaboration with the Red Cross, conducted disaster assessments in trailer home communities and provided relief efforts in Kalamazoo and Portage counties. Volunteers from the Detroit and Chicago Tzu Chi chapters came together to assist residents in need, offering support and hope in the aftermath of the tornado. The aid provided by Tzu Chi, funded by global donations, brought much-needed assistance to affected residents, helping them rebuild and restore their lives.
