The Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan has identified metal-related products and the automotive industry as the initial focus in the assessment of the progress of traditional industry transformation. Successful cases in the metal industry include hand tools, fasteners, and aluminum products, aiming to enhance efficiency through digitalization of internal processes and data transparency. The automotive sector prioritizes the production of domestically-made electric vehicles to meet domestic demand, with an aim to have tens of thousands of domestically-made electric cars on the roads this year. The ministry emphasizes technology development as the core of the new cabinet's trusted industries, with a focus on transitioning traditional industries, particularly in digitalization and sustainability directions.
