Yunlin High-Speed Rail Station currently only allows access through the front entrance, causing a traffic congestion of vehicles picking up and dropping off passengers. Yunlin County Government requested the high-speed rail company to open the rear entrance for traffic flow, but the company showed little willingness. The Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation intervened by assigning multiple units for on-site inspection and directed the county government to submit a planning proposal within a week. The high-speed rail company had previously rejected requests to open the rear station, planning for a development in about 4 to 5 years. Following interventions and meetings, plans are underway to alleviate the traffic congestion issue at the station.
