A tragic incident occurred on the Dragon Boat Festival (June 10th) afternoon in Yongkang, Tainan, where a sand truck ran over a young girl resulting in her death. The accident was captured on the car's recorder, showing the girl being hit and then completely run over by the truck. It is suspected that the truck's blind spot and internal wheel error caused the fatal accident. The girl, still in high school, tragically lost her life at the age of 17. The police have urged drivers of large vehicles to slow down when passing through intersections, confirm before starting or turning, and maintain a safe distance from riders or pedestrians to avoid blind spots and internal wheel errors for everyone's safety.
