On June 21, 2024, at around 4:28 am, a 60-year-old man surnamed Tian was found lying unconscious on the slope beside the northbound lane of National Highway 3 in the Bao Mountain section of Hsinchu. Despite emergency medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary investigations rule out foul play as the cause of the fall, with authorities urging people to seek help in times of emotional distress to prevent such tragedies.
