Taiwan Railways' Train 229 was hit by falling rocks between Chongde and Heren, causing the train to derail and resulting in the driver's hand fracture and 8 passengers sustaining minor injuries. An emergency response team has been established by Taiwan Railways, and the remaining 525 passengers have been arranged for. Passengers of Train 229 will receive a full refund due to the delay exceeding 2 hours. Repair work is underway, and alternative transportation arrangements have been made for affected passengers.
