Sony's TriStar Television label, responsible for series like The Afterparty, is being shut down after a nine-year revival. EVP Jennifer Turner and SVP Nicole Norwood, the label's top executives, will be departing the studio. The brand's development slate will now be overseen by Sony Pictures Television's drama development team, as part of a move to centralize development under President Katherine Pope. TriStar TV had been relaunched in 2015, focusing on female-driven projects, and generated six series during its run.
