A dispute at a betel nut stand in Longjing District, Taichung earlier this year involving 12 individuals resulted in a brawl and the confiscation of a modified handgun by the police. The conflict was seemingly linked to disagreements over betel nut transactions. Recently, a gunshot was heard at the same location, with police finding a bullet casing and arresting two suspects. Both individuals accused each other of owning the gun. The police have recovered the firearm and will provide further details on the case.
