TSMC in Germany: Tackling Talent Shortage by Collaborating with NTU to Train German Students

Reported 11 months ago

TSMC is actively expanding overseas and preparing to start construction on a factory in Germany by the end of the year. To address the urgent need for talent, TSMC has brought in 30 international students, including those from Germany, India, and South Korea, in collaboration with National Taiwan University (NTU) to nurture talent. When German students attend classes with Taiwanese students, they are surprised by the quick mental calculation abilities of Taiwanese students. The program involves practical semiconductor-related courses, with students interning at TSMC during the summer to gain industry experience.
