Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) opened high and continued to rise today, closing with a strong increase of 19 points to 979 points, a 1.97% increase; TAIEX surged nearly 300 points and closed at 23172 points. TSMC opened with a 16-point increase to 976 points. Following dovish remarks from Federal Reserve Chairman Powell, the US stock market closed higher, leading the TAIEX to rise over 200 points on July 3, breaking the 23100 point mark. TSMC will hold its second-quarter conference on the 18th, in Taipei, and it is the first conference since Chairman Mark Liu took office. Despite a dip due to ex-dividend stocks like Hon Hai (Foxconn), analysts suggest that the TAIEX may consolidate and eventually rise after necessary adjustments, recommending a cautious approach before re-entering the market.
