Recent results of the Junior High School Entrance Exam have been released, with many students successfully achieving outstanding scores to attend their desired schools. In Taichung, a pair of 'night market twin brothers' excelled in their exams with full marks in five subjects, securing admission to their first choice, Taichung First High School. Apart from their academic achievements, the brothers are known for their filial piety by helping their parents run a stall in the night market, embodying both academic excellence and exemplary behavior. Living in Shengang District, the brothers commute across districts to Da Hwa Junior High School in Daya District every day at 6 am, while their parents operate a pachinko stall in the night market, often returning home in the early hours of the next day due to the need to operate stalls across different counties. Despite these challenges, the independent and filial brothers take care of their own daily necessities, study, and even assist their parents at the night market on weekends, squeezing in study sessions in between stall duties. The brothers' mother mentioned that they only attended English cram school during their three years in junior high, with other subjects being self-taught, consistently ranking at the top of their class. The brothers expressed that having helped out at the night market since childhood, they understand the hardships of their parents' work, instilling in them the determination to study hard, change their destiny with knowledge, and aspire to provide their parents a better quality of life free from the toils of the night market. The twin brothers' filial piety and excellence not only make their parents proud but also serve as a role model for many peers, encouraging them to strive towards their goals and become outstanding individuals.
