More than twenty residents in the An Kang Ping residential complex in Taipei's Wenshan District were shocked to find no water available on a hot day, only to discover that all the water meters had been stolen from the rooftop. Reportedly, the thieves struck while residents were asleep, with the incidents spanning three days and resulting in over 20 households being affected. Police arrested two suspects who were caught on surveillance cameras fleeing the scene in a black car, and investigations revealed that the stolen water meters were sold for profit.
