Both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives have separately unveiled the National Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year 2025, with the Senate version requiring the Pentagon to establish an emergency stockpile for Taiwan and the House version calling for Taiwan to be included in defense industrial cooperation projects. The Acts aim to provide a significant defense budget, enhance Taiwan's defense capabilities, strengthen regional security coordination, and resist China's influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
