U.S. Stocks Close Higher on Inflation Update

U.S. stocks closed higher on Wednesday with the S&P 500 rising 0.9% to a record high after a positive update on inflation and the Federal Reserve hinting at possible interest rate cuts. The Nasdaq composite also climbed 1.5% to a new all-time high, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.1%. Treasury yields fell in response to the inflation report, with the 10-year Treasury note yield dropping to 4.33%.
