According to SET News on June 13, 2024, meteorologist Wei Juncheng reported that there will be rain in windward areas tomorrow morning. Wu Derong, a meteorologist from SET, mentioned that there were strong thunderstorms in the southwest this morning, with rain diminishing during the day and localized convective cells forming in the afternoon. Wu further noted that rain is expected in windward areas today, with lower rainfall in leeward areas. Temperatures may reach 36 degrees in the northern and eastern parts of Taiwan. Wu also forecasted increasing rain chances in windward areas tomorrow morning with afternoon convective activity, while the northwest and eastern provinces will see lower rain probabilities. Temperatures are expected to remain around 34-35 degrees high and 25 degrees low until next Tuesday, with potential extreme heat in the northern and eastern regions. Weather patterns are forecasted to have minimal changes over the coming days due to a stalled front and influence of southwest winds, bringing morning rain and strong afternoon convective weather, slightly easing on Saturday and Sunday but picking back up from Monday to Wednesday. Wu cautioned to stay alert for afternoon weather changes during this period.
