A coalition of U.S. intermodal equipment manufacturers has filed petitions with the Trump administration requesting anti-dumping duties on chassis imported from Mexico, Thailand, and Vietnam, alleging that these imports harm American producers. This marks the second effort by domestic chassis makers to seek protection against unfair trade practices, as they contend these imports threaten their market share and contribute to declines in production and employment.
