In May, US gasoline demand reached its highest levels since 2019, indicating a strong start to the summer driving season. The Energy Information Administration reported an increase to 9.396 million barrels per day, which is nearly 400,000 barrels above prior weekly estimates. This rise comes amidst global demand concerns, particularly regarding China's recovery post-pandemic.
